shoes

I have close to a dozen pair of shoes. Maybe more. Some, which I don’t know exist in my wardrobe. A handful of people around me have more than 100. Phew!

Still, I reach out for that particular one every single day that makes me feel as if I am wearing nothing on my feet. But the women in me can’t stop going crazy over shoes. The more, the merrier.

We have all been through these shoe phases. High heel phases. Any heel phases.

Shoe envy.

That pair of high heels. Oh look, how cute they are! And how incredibly sexy I would look wearing them.

Yes!

That awesome moment when you get to know that particular sexy pair of high heels is available in your size. Shoe match made in heaven.

Ouch!

Oh no, that shoe match made in heaven hurts.

Denial.

No, it doesn’t really hurt. My feet are just undergoing a learning curve. They will learn. It is the sexiest pair of heels ever, you know.

Umm.

Yeah, I know it’s been a week. My feet are sore. I can barely walk. But at least they are so cute. Those heels. And look, how sexy they look. And how sexy my legs look when I am wearing them.

Walk the rock.

Really? Am I walking in a funny way? I am ok. I am ok.

Let’s just sit.

You and I, forever friends. My sexy pair of heels. I don’t really have to walk in them, isn’t it! I can always slip them on when I am sitting. Ahh, they are so cute! See, they don’t hurt now.

Footloose.

Oh, I just slipped off my shoes when I am sitting at my desk. Just giving my feet breathing space, you see.

Party time.

I think this pair would look really great with that awesome dress. They would in fact look killer at the club. I think I can suffer just that little bit of pain while dancing. It is just the weekend, you see.

Cry baby.

No. No. No. Why me? These feel like dancing on rocks. I can’t dance. My feet hurt.

Missing.

Those awesome heels? Yeah, I have them. It’s in my shoe collection.

As I grow older, I have realised that I am reaching out more for comfort than looks. I guess, the 30s are doing that to me.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

PS: The one in the photo is my current favourite pair. No high heels. See, it is the 30s. I told you 😛

PA x

This Week in the Life of PA

Hello Awesome people! How are you? It has been a lovely week for PA. Hope you had a wonderful week too! Let’s see what happened this week in the life of PA.

Some highlights:

This is one of my favourite outfits from this week. This is actually a bright pink blazer. The accessories are from Fiji – from a handicraft store run by native Fijians.

This week I did two trips to one of my favourite Sydney restaurants – Mamak, Haymarket. It is the best Malaysian restaurant in Sydney. I tried Roti Bom for the first time ever. Can’t believe I have never tried this before. It is sooo sooo yummy. It is a must have dessert at Mamak and it comes with Vanilla ice cream.

Some other things weI had on these two trips to Mamak this week {and must try at Mamak for everyone} – Roti Canai, Lamb Curry, Fish Curry, Fried Chicken, Teh Tarik, Ginger Teh Tarik, Ice Kacang, Mee Goreng, Chicken Satay and of course, Roti Bom!

Poached Chicken Sandwich and Corn Fritters at Double Roasters, Marrickville. Their poached chicken sandwich is so amazing!

I also did a few visits to El Jannah again this week. Almost close to their closing time on all occasions. We usually get their Charcoal Chicken but this time decided to try their EJ Platter. We opted for Chicken, Lamb and Spicy Lamb. It was good!

I keep trying Pani Puri at various Indian eateries across Sydney, in search of the perfect one. I guess I am too hard to please, when it comes to food. Some day when I find the perfect or close to perfect one, I will let you know. This time I tried Pani Puri at a new place in Harris Park. Nothing to write home about.

I also had Yummy Pav Bhaji {Indian street food delicacy}. This was at one of my regular go to places for Pani Puri in Harris Park.

I am so grateful to have this lovely park just across the road from where I live. Nothing calms me more than a stroll in nature. It clears my head and soothes my soul. Much needed serenity!

So soothing and relaxing, isn’t it!

Have a lovely week ahead, awesome people! xx

What to wear on on a night out to the casino

For many gamblers, the thrill of the casino lies in the risk involved. One never really knows what will be the result after a night out at the casino. However, one thing is for certain, it is possible to ensure that you will be well dressed when gambling for the evening. It is a horrible feeling when you’re not properly dressed for a certain occasion. It can even affect one’s overall confidence which is something you don’t want to hinder.

What to wear to the casino – fashion + style tips and tricks:

Before going out to a casino for the evening, find out what exactly the dress code is. This is the easiest way to ensure that overall you’re dressed appropriately. However, you may want to consider other criteria when planning the exact outfit within the dress code expectation. Temperature is an important consideration. Sometimes you may find that the air conditioning can make the casino a bit cool. Therefore, having a blazer or a cardigan as part of the outfit provides an additional layer if needed. If the temperature is a bit warm, then the item can easily be removed.

You may choose to wear a dress to the casino. There are a lot of options within this style. For instance, you may wear a cocktail dress or even their little black dress. The only thing to keep in mind is to make sure the dress isn’t too revealing. This would mean that the hemline falls around the knee. Secondly, it shouldn’t have a plunging neckline that shows too much of a your décolletage. Dressy in this manner will earn you more respect at the table games especially when competing against men. The trendy maxi dress is another dress option for wearing to the casino. These casual floor length dresses look better with flats. If it will be your first time going to a casino, you can visit Gaming Club casino a try out the games you will be playing, so you won’t be a complete novice.
