The world is finally waking up to the magic of BB Cream!

Some of you may think that it’s a new thing, but NO… its been around for a while. People have started noticing it more now after the best brands in the world of beauty, makeup and skin care started launching versions of it.

But what is this BB Cream, you may ask… and what kind of name is BB?

Well, BB Cream is also known as Blemish Balm or Beauty Balm. It is known as the secret of Korean actresses.

Now, BB Creams come with different qualities and formulations, like:

• Skin Whitening
• Anti Acne
• Skin Brightening
• Anti Wrinkle
• Skin tone even-out properties
• Lighten blemish scars
• Primer
• Foundation
• moisturizer
• Tinted moisturizer
• Sun block / SPF
• Pore minimization

A BB Cream can have some or most of these qualities.

This all in one skin care product is considered to be one of Asia’s biggest beauty wonders. It has been popular in Korea and Japan since many years. I have spotted a vast range of BB Creams in Thailand as well. Well-known global brands  have finally woken up to BB Creams.

Now, what constitutes a good BB Cream? In my experience, a good BB Cream is first and foremost lightweight, moisturizer, acts as a concealer, foundation, needs to give the skin a silky natural tone, has SPF and have the benefits of skin serum. These are just the basic essentials of a good BB cream. Some even call it a tinted moisturizer with SPF. The skin needs to feel smooth, glowing and natural even after hours of application. It shouldn’t feel sticky on the skin.
