Designer Prabal Gurung Unveils His Spring 2012 Campaign and RTW Collection

Hey Dolls! Do you agree that there are very few things that makes one fall in love instantly. And I had a similar moment today when I saw the latest Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2012 Ready-To-Wear Collection.

There is no doubt that he always creates magic. This collection is truly awesome with delicate fabrics and sexy designs. And the color like purple is my all-time favorite.

Besides the fabulous collection, it is the campaign that is simply stunning. It is shot by Daniel Jackson and Model Candice Swanepoel has given some great poses in this high-fashion ad.

Have you ever noticed how designers get influenced by other designers? What is their inspiration? Is it designers from the past, the present, their mentor, or the peer group?

And sometimes they admit about it and sometimes not.

When they pay homage by way of their designs to other designers – what does that mean? My guess is as good as your guess

And when they say ‘I borrowed this idea from…’

Isn’t it fascinating to notice their design inspiration correlation and how they get influenced by one another…

Often addressed as the “Slumdog Millionaire” star, Freida Pinto was in need of some help with her dress sometime during the event.

But fret not!

There is always ample help at hand at such events where makeup and hair artists in addition to stylists are on hand for quick fixes in the ballroom’s women’s restroom.

But what was the problem?

Her Dress. Yep the Prada Dress. Threads from the red carpet were clinging to the hem of her flowing teal blue dress.

But that got fixed up – by quick swipe of a sticky tape roller!

And that got her back to the ceremony quickly!
